You will benefit from plenty of ‘hands on’ practical teaching, with a minimum of 160 hours of face to face training.
Reflexology is a practical therapy, and there is no substitute for plenty of face to face training. As you progress through our Level 5 Reflexology Diploma, your practical skills will be checked by your tutor at every stage, so that you can build confidence in your treatments throughout your training. There is no final exam as you will be assessed on both your practical and theoretical work throughout the course. Assignments will include an essay, case studies, pathology research and report, studying reflexology research and a business plan. All are made directly relevant to your development as a reflexologist, with no generic modules. You will complete over 100 evidenced treatments during the course, including several assessed treatments in class.
The course has 8 units, all of which are written specifically by and for reflexologists. These include:
Principles and Safe Practice for Clinical Practitioner Reflexology
Anatomy, Physiology and Psychology in Illness and Health
Clinical Reflexology and Reflected Anatomy
Developmental Reflexology, Pathology and Integrated Medicine
Stress Management for Body and Mind
Life Stages of Human Development
Evidence Based Practice for Reflexology
Business Fundamentals for Reflexology Practice
You will receive a detailed manual for each and you will learn the latest and most innovative techniques in the UK and beyond. Our students learn Duopody, a highly effective system-by-system approach to reflexology, working on both feet simultaneously, but we will also cover the Original Ingham method, which most reflexologists in the UK have traditionally been trained to use.
Unique protocol for treating stress
On this course, you will learn NeuroEndoPsychoImmunoPody (NEPIP), a wonderfully effective treatment protocol when working with clients who are experiencing stress.
Prepare to treat specific conditions
Many reflexologists choose to specialise in certain areas after their initial training, and undertake further training to do so. By choosing the level 5 diploma, you will learn how to adapt your treatment for subfertility, maternity and palliative care during the training, therefore preparing to treat a full range of clients right from the start of your career – and having a clear idea of those areas you wish to pursue further following graduation.
Also included in your training…
- Language of the Feet
- Chinese Meridians in reflexology
- The Organ Clock
- Applying energy theories in reflexology
- Deep techniques and very light techniques
- Linking techniques
- Hand reflexology
